The Internaional Association of Iranian Independent Journalists (IAIJ) has announced that it officially started work on January 6, 2012, with the optimism to achieve its goals, i.e. supporting independent media, defending the freedom of pen and speech as well as supporting the Iranian journalists in and out of Iran.
